Intermediate Accountant

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Services team on a full-time capacity.

Working within this diverse, dynamic and collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to work with, and learn from, the directors, managers and seniors. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of accounting and business advisory services to a wide range of clients and sectors.

About the role:

  • Working within the Business Services team.
  • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships
  • Working on individual, SME’s, and large family groups
  • Maintaining clients’ asset register, adjusting journals and reconciliations
  • Consulting with clients & external agencies
  • Exposure to a variety of tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7

Successful candidates will have:

  • 2-3 years previous experience in a professional accounting firm
  • MYOB AE, AR, and Xero experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant Australian University degree
  • CA qualifications, either already commenced or planning to undertake CA qualification
  • The ability to manage a busy workload together with a strong client service focus
  • The ability to effectively gain the co-operation of others in the execution of work tasks
  • Drive and ambition to be innovative and maintain a continuous improvement mindset
