COVID-19 Business Support Grant – July 2021
Funding
$3,000 for an employing business
$1,000 for a non-employing business
Eligibility
- Have a valid and active ABN and were carrying on the operation of a business in South Australia
- Annual turnover of more than $75,000 (excluding GST) in either the 2019-20 or 2020-21 financial year
- Be registered for GST
- Employ people in South Australia and have total Australian payroll of less than $10 million in the 2019-20 financial year
- Experienced at least a 30 per cent reduction in turnover in the week defined as Tuesday 20 July 2021 to Monday 26 July 2021 (inclusive), compared with the prior 7-day period due to restricted trading conditions
Note that a non-employing business will need to meet all the above criteria except for the requirement to employ.

COVID-19 Additional Business Support Grant – Industry Specific
Funding
$3,000 for an employing business
$1,000 for a non-employing business
Eligibility
- Have a valid and active ABN and were carrying on the operation of a business in South Australia
- Be registered for GST
- Employ people in South Australia and have total Australian payroll of less than $10 million in the 2019-20 financial year
- Operate in an eligible industry sector identified in the list of eligible Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) classes
- Experienced at least a 30 per cent reduction in turnover in the fortnight defined as Wednesday 28 July 2021 to Tuesday 10 August 2021 compared with the average fortnightly turnover in the quarter ended 30 June 2021
A further grant of $1,000 will be available for businesses that operate from a commercial premise located in the Adelaide CBD, provided they meet the eligibility criteria detailed above.
Note that a non-employing business will need to meet all the above criteria except for the requirement to employ.

COVID-19 Tourism And Hospitality Support Grant – Automatic Payment
Funding
$3,000 for an employing business
$1,000 for a non-employing business
$7,000 for an employing business with a turnover greater than $2 million
$17,000 for an employing business with a turnover greater than $5 million
Eligibility
- Have received a COVID-19 Additional Business Support Grant
- Have nominated as part of their COVID-19 Additional Business Support Grant application that they operate in an eligible industry sector as identified in the list of eligible ANZSIC classes
Employing businesses with a turnover of more than $2 million are eligible to apply for a larger COVID-19 Tourism and Hospitality Support Grant provided they meet the following additional criteria:
- Employ people in South Australia
- Annual turnover of more than $2 million and up to $5 million in either the 2019-20 or 2020-21 financial year to receive an additional $7,000 payment (taking the total value of the grant to $10,000)
or
- Annual turnover of more than $5 million in either the 2019-20 or 2020-21 financial year to receive an additional $17,000 payment (taking the total value of the grant to $20,000)

Major Events Grant
Funding
Up to $100,000 for organisers of cancelled or postponed major public events.
Eligibility
- Have a valid and active ABN and were carrying on the operation of a business in South Australia
- Be registered for GST
- Employ people in South Australia and have a total Australian grouped payroll of less than $10 million in the 2019-20 financial year
- Be the organiser/operator of an event that:
- commenced on or prior to 20 July 2021 and was required to be cancelled/postponed because of State-wide lockdown and further restrictions commencing 20 July 2021 up to 10 August 2021; or
- was scheduled to be held over the period of State-wide lockdown or restrictions commencing 12:01am on 20 July 2021 up to 11:59pm 10 August 2021 and has been cancelled/postponed because of the restrictions
- The event was a one-off event with an SA Health approved COVID Management Plan or COVID-Safe Plan catering for an event over 1,000 combined capacity in one or across multiple locations
- Have incurred a non-recoverable financial loss because of the cancellation or postponement of the event
- Trading solvently

COVID-19 Business Hardship Grant
Funding
$6,000 for an employing business
$2,000 for a non-employing business
Eligibility
- Have a valid and active ABN and were carrying on the operation of a business in South Australia
- Be registered for GST
- Employ people in South Australia and have total Australian payroll of less than $10 million in the 2019-20 financial year
- Experienced at least a 50 per cent reduction in turnover for a consecutive two-week period between 20 July 2021 and 31 August 2021 when compared with the same period within the Benchmark Period* in 2019
- Must not have received the following COVID support grants:
- COVID-19 Business Support Grant – July 2021
- COVID-19 Additional Business Support Grant
- COVID-19 Tourism and Hospitality Grant
- Major Events Support Grant
*Benchmark Period
- For businesses that were actively trading in 2019: 20 July 2019 to 31 August 2019; or
- For businesses that were not actively trading in 2019: 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2021
Note that a non-employing business will need to meet all the above criteria except for the requirement to employ.

New South Wales COVID-19 Support Grants
COVID-19 Business Grants
Funding
$7,500 if decline in turnover is 30% and up to 49%
$10,500 if decline in turnover is 50% and up to 69%
$15,000 if decline in turnover is 70% and more
Eligibility
- Have a valid and active ABN and were operating in New South Wales on 1 June 2021
- Have total Australian payroll of less than $10 million on 1 July 2020
- Annual turnover of more than $75,000 up to $50 million (inclusive) for the year ended 30 June 2020
- Have no business costs for which there are no other government support available
- Experienced a decline in turnover of 30% or more due to the Public Heath Order over a minimum 2-week period from 26 June 2021 to 17 July 2021 compared to:
- the same period in 2019; or
- the same period in 2020; or
- the 2 weeks immediately prior to any restrictions of 12 to 25 June 2021 (inclusive)
- Employing businesses will have to maintain their employee headcount from 13 July 2021 while they continue to receive payments under this Grant
- For non-employing businesses, the business receiving payments must be the primary source of income (50% or more of total income) for the associated person

JobSaver
Funding
Employing businesses will receive the equivalent to 40% of their weekly payroll, with a minimum payment of $1,500 per week and a maximum payment of $100,000 per week.
Eligibility
- Have a valid and active ABN and were operating in New South Wales on 1 June 2021
- Annual turnover of more than $75,000 up to $250 million (inclusive) for the year ended 30 June 2020
- Experienced a decline in turnover of 30% or more due to the Public Heath Order over a minimum 2-week period from 26 June 2021 compared to:
- the same period in 2019; or
- the same period in 2020; or
- the 2 weeks immediately prior to any restrictions of 12 to 25 June 2021 (inclusive)
- Employing businesses will have to maintain their employee headcount from 13 July 2021 while they continue to receive JobSaver payments
Note: a non-employing business will be eligible for weekly payments of $1,000, provided they meet all the above criteria except for the requirement to employ. The business receiving payments must be the primary source of income (50% or more of total income) for the associated person.

JobSaver – Large Hospitality, Tourism Or Recreation Businesses Only
Funding

- $300,000 for businesses with aggregated annual turnover of $250 million and up to $500 million
- $500,000 for businesses with aggregated annual turnover of $500 million and up to $1 billion

- Be a tourism, hospitality, or recreation business
- Have a valid and active ABN and were operating in New South Wales on 1 June 2021
- Aggregated annual turnover of more than $250 million and up to $1 billion
- Maintain employee headcount
- Experienced a decline in turnover due to the Public Health Order of:
- 50% for businesses with aggregated turnover of more than $250 million and up to $500 million
- 70% for businesses with aggregated annual turnover of more than $500 million and up to $1 billion

Micro Business Grant
Funding
Fortnightly payments of $1,500
Eligibility
- Have a valid and active ABN and were operating in New South Wales on 1 June 2021
- Annual turnover of more than $30,000 and less than $75,000 for the year ended 30 June 2020
- Have no business costs for which there are no other government support available
- Experienced a decline in turnover of 30% or more due to the Public Heath Order over a minimum 2-week period from 26 June 2021 compared to:
- the same period in 2019; or
- the same period in 2020; or
- the 2 weeks immediately prior to any restrictions of 12 to 25 June 2021 (inclusive)
- Have not applied for either the COVID-19 Business Grant, or the JobSaver scheme
- Employing businesses will have to maintain their employee headcount from 13 July 2021 while they continue to receive payments under this Grant
- For non-employing businesses, the business receiving payments must be the primary source of income (50% or more of total income) for the associated person

Victoria COVID-19 Support Grants
Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme
Support to reach an agreement on rent relief.
Eligibility
- Small to medium commercial tenants with an annual turnover under $50 million
- Demonstrate a decline in turnover of at least 30% due to the impact of COVID-19
This scheme ends 15 January 2022.

SME Recovery Loan Scheme
Eligible SMEs will be able to borrow up to $5 million over a term of up to 10 years.
Eligibility
- SMEs with a turnover of up to $250 million are eligible
- This includes self-employed individuals and non-profit businesses
This scheme ends 31 December 2021.

Commonwealth COVID-19 Disaster Payment
Payments of $200, $450 or $750 per payment period.
Eligibility
- Eligible workers, micro businesses and sole traders who lose work or income due to the lockdown may be eligible for the Commonwealth’s Disaster Payment
- The payment is set at:
- $450 for people who have lost 8-20 hours or a full day’s work over seven days,
- $750 for people who have lost 20 hours or more over seven days
- People who receive certain income support payments or allowances are eligible for $200 where they have lost 8 hours work or more due to lockdown

Small Business Digital Adaptation Program
Funding
A rebate of $1,200 to access selected digital business management tools for 12 months
Eligibility
- Operate a business located in Victoria that has been in operation since or before 13 September 2019
- Hold an ABN and have continuously held the ABN since or before 13 September 2019
Note: an eligible business, as defined by its ABN, can only receive one purchase rebate of $1,200 to cover 12 months’ access to one of more approved digital product available under this program.
This program ends 5 December 2021.

Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund 3
Grants of up to $6,000 per tenancy, and up to $10,000 for landlords experiencing acute hardship.
Eligibility
- Be a landlord with total taxable landholdings of less than $3 million, including part holdings but excluding principal place of residence, or where a property is held on trust, the total taxable landholdings of the trust must be less than $3 million
- Be able to confirm property ownership by Customer Number shown on the State Revenue Office Land Tax Assessment Notice or by a 2020-21 Municipal Rates Notice
- Be the landlord of property subject to a Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme eligible tenancy
- Be a landlord with a current lease agreement that provides rent relief to the tenant(s) under the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme for any period between 28 July 2021 and 15 January 2022

Impacted Public Events Support Program Round Two
Funding
Grants of up to $25,000 (organisers) and grants of up to $10,000 (suppliers)
Eligibility – Businesses
- Have an approved or registered Tier 1 or Tier 2 public event with more than 1,000 attendees per event per day under the Public Event Framework (PEF) that was scheduled between 11:59pm on 24 June 2021 and 11:59pm on 23 September 2021
- Have incurred, for that event, non-recoverable costs that exceed the grant value and are the direct result of the May to June and July lockdowns and subsequent restrictions
- Employ people in Victoria and have an annual Victorian payroll of up to $10 million in 2019-20 on an ungrouped basis
- Have an ABN and have held the same ABN as of 24 June 2021 and operate the business in Victoria
- Trading solvently at time of application
- Be registered for GST as of 24 June 2021 and be registered with the responsible Australian or Victorian regulator
Employing businesses must also:
- Be registered with WorkSafe Victoria, if required
- Attest that the business is supporting its workers to access any paid leave entitlements, or, if a worker can work from home, to allow them
- Work from home during the lockdown, and, where possible, supporting casual workers
Eligibility – Suppliers
- Meet the above criteria, excluding having an approved or registered Tier 1 or Tier 2 public event with more than 1,000 attendees under the Victorian Public Event Framework (PEF) that was scheduled between 11:59pm on 24 June 2021 and 11:59pm on 23 September 2021
- Not have been reimbursed for associated costs
- Derive 50 per cent or more of their revenue from supplying events
Note: a supplier may still be eligible for a grant through this program even if the event organizer is ineligible
